Roxy leans on Christian
Roxy keeps vigil at her baby’s incubator, with Archie by her side, playing the doting grandfather. Whilst Sean broods at home, feeling rejected and helpless, Archie tells Roxy she’s better off without him.
Archie returns to the Square, and relishes telling Sean that Roxy doesn’t want anything to do with him: “You’ve lost, Sean.” Sean restrains himself, with difficulty. Later, he breaks down at the sight of the empty cot.
Suzy visits Jack, who’s struggling to cope. She asks him if this is really the life of a successful club owner, and points out they’re not even his kids. Jack’s face shows concern at the mention of Roxy’s baby.
Roxy welcomes Christian’s support, despite the Mitchells’ attempts to close ranks. At Roxy’s request, he goes to find Sean, who resents his interference, and they row. Later, Linda badgers Christian about his hedonistic lifestyle.
Impressed by Darren’s romantic gestures for Libby, Whitney brings Tony a picnic for them to share, but he slates her - what if Bianca notices the food’s gone? Whitney’s crushed by his rejection.
Mo orders Sean to stop feeling sorry for himself and to get down to the hospital. When Sean admits he’s scared, Mo’s strong: "She’s a Slater, and we don’t give up.” Sean’s touched by her words, and heads off.
Vinnie returns from Southend. After Callum hears about a tryst with the buxom Daphne, he sneaks a call and invites her to Walford. Vinnie pales; he admits to Shirley that he told Daphne he owns the Vic.
Sean’s about to enter Roxy’s room when he stops short - she's making an announcement. She explains to the shocked Mitchells that with Sean out of the picture, she’s decided to bring up the baby with Christian. Sean flees.
